I have a vast amount of experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings including in-home, outpatient and residential facilities. While I specialize in treating sexual abuse and ADHD, I have an extensive background treating multiple issues and age groups. Over the past ten years I have gained valuable experience working with both victims and perpetrators of domestic violence, recovering addicts, families whose children were at risk of being removed for abuse or neglect and children and adults with a broad range of issues including sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and conduct problems.

When I moved to Atlanta in 2002, I began working as a therapist at Inner Harbour, an intensive residential psychiatric facility for troubled children. I worked with pre-adolescent boys in individual, group and family settings. While at Inner Harbour, I became certified as a lead facilitator in Equine Therapy (animal-assisted therapy utilizing horses) as well as a Lead Facilitator in Ropes Course.

In 2004, I joined Sweetwater Psychological Associates, a private practice in Lithia Springs and Marietta. While at Sweetwater, I received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults and children. I routinely coordinated with physicians and schools to determine the most appropriate interventions.

In late 2005, I started my own private practice. I continue to treat children, adolescents, adults and families. While I do not see couples, I am happy to refer you to a qualified therapist who specializes in couples counseling.

I hold a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Masters in Social Work from Florida International University. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and Georgia.
